Last week on Instagram we revealed the new WILD HEARTS design, which will be available in April. We are so excited about this design, which is an illustration by Shannon Snow and inspired by my and my sister's dad's days as a motorcycle racer. Today, I wanted to share this design here on andCHLOE, but I also wanted to share some photos of the inspiration.

 

Yep, that is our dad. He definitely had that whole genuine coolness going on. The kind that hipsters and such emulate in modern day. He raced bikes around the globe, went through rings of fire, and did a wheelie up an iconic San Francisco street. All this inspired the cafe racer in our new design...

...and the message within in the bike frame, as well. You see, dad needed to get bike parts cheaper so he created FUCH'S COMPETITION ENGINEERING - a race club of sorts. It allowed him to get parts at wholesale. He also had t-shirts and stickers made. The logo (below) was on the front of the t-shirts and across the shoulder blades on the back read: LIVE HARD  RIDE FAST  DIE YOUNG. We figured the "die young" part was a little morbid for little ones' tees, to say the least. So, we changed it up to FOREVER YOUNG, which is more inline with our brand message.

WILD HEARTS :: new design :: sleep all day, party all night

If you are a mom you how this scenario all too well ...

Newborns especially love to have a snuggle jammie party all night after blissfully innocently sleeping the day away. As our little ones get out of that newborn stage, all nighters are thanks to teething, growing pains, developmental milestones, sleep regression, etc. Yay!

Tonight is the night. WILD HEARTS etsy shop is officially open and we have our first design available on tees and onesies.

 

Perfect for boys and girls, each tee or onesie is hand screened one-by-one with love in a smoke free environment using non-toxic ink.

The tees are athletic gray, American Apparel tri-blend t-shirts which are a 25% cotton, 50% polyester, 25% rayon. These tees are some of our favorite; they have a soft, vintage, comfortable fit and feel that retains it shape and elasticity. The onesies are heather gray, Rabbit Skins and are 93% cotton, 7% polyester.

The tees are available in sizes 3 months to 4T; the onesies are available in sizes newborn to 18 months.

I am super excited about a new venture my sister and I have been working on together. It is still in the works, but recently we finalized our business name and therefor our logo (above). So, first off, I am sharing our logo, which I designed. I created two logo designs and we choose this one. It was literally the quickest logo design I have experienced to date. But, we had two fabulous options and this one just felt "right".

What is wild hearts you ask? Wild hearts is legally wild hearts apparel Ltd. and we screen print tees and onesies for littles with our designs/illustrations. Some of the designs are typography based, others are illustrations, and some are a combo of both. The designs, as our name implies, captures the fantastic calamity, reckless abandon, and lovely innocence that radiates from our little ones. All of our designs and illustrations are unique to wild hearts apparel Ltd.

We will have an Etsy shop, which will be opening soon after we finish screen printing our first collection of tees and onesies. We will be offering sizing from newborn up to 4T. We currently have about six designs in the works and will most likely release one or two to begin with.
