healdsburg shed

Healdsburg Shed is a market, cafe, and community gathering place. They sell local produce and home  + cooking wares. They also have a coffee bar. They have a counter where you can order to-go sandwiches, salads, and soups. They have a butcher, cheese shop, and charcuterie offering. They have a mill. They have a restaurant. Upstairs is an event area. The whole thing is housed in a large shed, but don't let the name fool you - it's not the type of backyard shed you store your lawn mower in. It gorgeous with lots of light, Carrera marble, beautiful products, and gorgeous merchandising.

We stopped in yesterday to get some coffee for the road, as well as some picnic provisions for a picnic at a winery.

PRODUCE

The produce area features mostly organic and exclusively local produce. We snagged some white Dry Creek peaches (above) that were so sweet and delicious you could smell them. We also got some blueberries and cherries.

EAT

In addition to produce, the EAT section has various canned and jarred goods and specialty foods. You will find local and non-local fine and organic vinegars, oils, jams, jellies, baking mixes, honeys, teas, chocolate bars, etc.

COOK

In the COOK section, there are gorgeous linens and tea towels, aprons, dishware, cookware, utensils, etc. I loved some of the enamel bakeware sets and also got an adorable little tie-up lunch sack.

LARDER

The LARDER is where you can order food to-go. They have sandwiches and a soup of the day. There are roasted chickens and frittatas by the quarter and slice, respectively. They also have several vegetable salads and grain based salads. We got a couple of sandwiches, some farro + carrot salad, and some quinoa salad. We also got a quarter chicken. All perfect picnic fare.

BUTCHER

COFFEE

The coffee bar is right up front and they have a full coffee and tea menu. We got a phenomenal mocha which was not overly sweet, and therefor, I thought it was perfect.

MILL

The mill has operational flour grinders, really not toys, but try telling Asher that fun wheel isn't a toy! They also make the pasta in the mill.

This place is just phenomenal. It is so much fun to wander around looking at everything. Now that we have enjoyed items from their larder and coffee bar, I cannot wait to try the cafe!
