what to wear // vegas night out

I interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you a brief night's getaway to Vegas. I am not going to Vegas, but this gal is and she asked me to help her figure out what to wear. So, for a night at the Bellagio with dinner at Prime Steakhouse and then a little gambling this is what I would wear if it were me heading to Sin City, ergo it is what I would recommend to Kendra.

I have two lace tops that I am torn between ... the Blaque Label Ruffle tank or Rebecca Taylor's floral lace tee. I am leaning towards the tee since I am a little over peplum.

I would put my favorite bra - the Simone Perele 'Caressence 3D' Plunge Bra underneath the lace.

Hands down, if anything calls for coated skinny denim, it is an evening in Vegas. Citizens of Humanity's Rocket Coated Skinny jeans are my pick here. If I had occasion to wear coated denim in my life as a momma going on walks, chasing after my little guy, and running errands THIS is the pair I would get.

Anine Bing's Boots would look perfect and her Army Jacket would be perfect for in case there is a chill {in Vegas, not likely, but hey, I love this jacket}. To carry the phone and some gambling money, a Clare Vivier clutch would do it just right. And lastly, I am kind of jewelry minimalist, but I love this Bueno Bueno MAMA ring.

So there we have it. My perfect night out in Vegas outfit.

Now she is tackling fashion as related to travel. She reached out to me to participate in her ‘Kendra’s Night Out’ Challenge - a challenge to create a wardrobe for her night out in Vegas at the Bellagio, dinner at Prime Steakhouse, and a night of trying her luck at the tables. This post is not sponsored and I am not receiving any compensation for writing it, it is simply for fun and for me to live vicariously for an outfit I would truly love to rock in Vegas.

Here is what Kendra had to say about this project:

Sin City Chic: The Fashion Challenge The Chic Challenge I’m going to Vegas. I’m super excited to spend some time with friends at the Bellagio when we enjoy a quick getaway. One evening, we’ll enjoy exclusive dining at the award-winning Prime Steakhouse. Afterward, I plan to try my luck gambling. Win or lose, I know I’ll enjoy myself as long as I look great. To help me with my fashion sense, I’d like to get your feedback. What stylish look do you think I should choose for this fun evening in Sin City?
Prime Steakhouse: Don’t let the simple name of this restaurant fool you. Four-star celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten serves up world-class entrées, amazing sauces and succulent sides at this fine dining establishment. The dishes here are truly prime examples of Sin City’s flair for flavor. Guest favorites include delicious cuts of steak, perfectly prepared lamb and mouthwatering seafood dishes. The décor here adds to the experience. Deep chocolate brown accented with Tiffany blue creates the canvas while artwork from such masters as Carlo Maria Mariani and Joseph Raffael paint the completed picture. Designed by Michael DeSantis, the dining area at Prime Steakhouse is in itself a work of art.
Las Vegas Style Chic fashions pervade Sin City, and this desert oasis has unique flairs all its own. I know I’ll enjoy any activity or event here more when I’m dressed to the nines and feel confident about my appearance. There’s always something new to experience in the Las Vegas hotels scene, and I’ve had a lot of fun planning this getaway with the help of Gogobot. I can’t wait to learn what chic style you recommend for my big night at the Bellagio. This is going to be great!
