my three denim favorites

This post covers some denim you've seen before here on my blog, but we are going over some new denim, too...

Why? Because I love denim. And, we all need denim for fall!

It should be overly evident at this point that I love jeans ... I may have a problem, but I am willing to admit it. One of my favorite looks is a good pair of jeans and a tee. Most of my outfits start with my jeans and work backwards (examples: here, here, and here).

These are the three pairs of jeans that I have purchased most recently and love.

From left to right: Nudie Jeans Tight Long John, Citizens of Humanity Avedon Skinny Jeans in Satellite (and similar in a different wash), and AG Jeans Legging in 11 Year Repair.

I love the Nudies for a more casual day ... they typically get cuffed and paired with a tank or tee. I have had these since July and they are my go-to weekend jean. Casual, comfortable. You can see them on me here and here.

The Avedons from C of H are a sleeker jean and can be "dressed up". This is my second pair of Avedons (overboard, you say? I say, decidedly no). I love the stitching detail on these (see photo). That stitching that runs along the top of the rear pockets, is also on the belt loops and front coin (5th) pocket. Like my other Avedons, these are so soft and comfortable!

And the AGs ... these are my favorite distressed pair right now. They are softer and stretchier than some of my other AGs. These fit that casual denim category, like the Nudies. And, suprise!, I have been wearing these with a tee - this perfect basic James Perse tee, in fact. And you saw these jeans and that tee paired together in this post about basics.

If you are interested in snatching up a pair of my beloveds for yourself, check out my profile on Copious where I resell my gently worn, like new jeans.
