mint chocolate monster
I am definitely hooked on this version for now. The cacao nibs and mint leaves in this smoothie add to health benefits that are already packed in to the base!
MINT CHOCOLATE MONSTER GREEN GOODNESS
for 2 servings:
3-4 large handfulls organic baby spinach leaves
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 frozen, large banana (frozen in chunks)
1/4 cup almonds
1- 1 1/2 dates that have been soaked in cold water in the fridge overnight
6-8 medium-sized fresh mint leaves (depending on minty preference)
1 1/2 tablespoons cacao nibs (I like Navitas Naturals)
4-5 ice cubes
Put everything in your high-speed blender (VitaMix) and process to the consistency that you prefer, until there are no large/visible pieces of spinach, cacao nibs, or almonds.
I sprinkled a few extra cacao nibs on top fo garnish, as well.
