our home :: updates on entry and seating

Just wanted to share the entry console table we selected ... we are going for a mid-century modern vibe for our condo overall; so as you can see, this piece is an purposeful deviation from that. Everything pretty much follows that theme, except this console and the art below.

These are the pieces we are considering for above the entry table: two DwellStudio Jean Baptiste Geometric pieces .

For the side chair in the living room (we will have a sofa, leather chair, and then a side chair - see diagram below) we had an option tentatively picked out. Then I fell in love with this Hans J. Wegner CH25 chair after seeing it in Martha Stewart Living. Well, our wallet was not in love with the price of the CH25 chair, and when John found this  Highback Rapson Greenbelt chair (originally designed by Ralph Rapson in 1939 ... so more like pre-mid-century modern), I was ecstatic - I feel like this chair is IT. I am 100% decided that we need it ... I think John is, too. And, Brad thinks he can get it for us. Perfection! This chair is the piece for our home that I am most excited about right now, believe it or not!

So here are the pieces I shared today and where they would reside in our layout:

Those are my updates for now regarding our home!

Well I love both the entry table and the chair! What a fun process! I am sure there are times you just want to have your house put together and done, but how great is it when you find a perfect piece like this!?! Your house is going to be AMAZING!! I cannot WAIT to see the finished product!!!!!
