dispatch from atlanta & winter park

We left Atlanta this morning and made it to Florida! That means we are officially on the very last leg of our trip, and tomorrow night at this time we will be in Coconut Grove.

Today was a long day - 8-ish hours of driving, so we left Atlanta as early as we could after a quick Whole Foods breakfast and some emails.

We stopped in Valdosta, Georgia for lunch where we were equally impressed by the cute main street and our tasty fancy taco lunch at The Bleu Cafe.

After another couple of hours we crossed the border into Florida, and as you can tell from the photo above, Mocha slept right through it.

We drove into Winter Park, Florida where we are staying the night. We had dinner at an amazing {!!!!} italian, farm-to-table restaurant called Prato. It was an amazing meal - one of the best I have had in a while. We shared a arugula and radicchio salad, beef tortellini, and a peach/gorgonzola/onion/fennel pizza. Everything was out-of-this world delish. We loved the atmosphere/decor and branding of Prato, too {which you can get a feel for from my photos and from their website}.

On the way to our good friends' home {two good friends of John's from high school live here in Winter Park}, we swung by Rifle Paper Co.'s shop and studio. They were closed up for the evening {although we saw Anna and Nathan working late in the studio}, but we are going to try and go by again tomorrow so I can actually go inside.

We finished off the evening at above mentioned friends' home and got to our our hotel quite, quite, quite late. I had to take care of a few emails and order; and I just had to get this post up since our day allowed me to capture so many fun photos. But, now I am just exhausted and must go to bed.

In the morning we are going to go on a run, have breakfast here, run some errands {Restoration Hardware for sheets, Pottery Barn or Restoriation Hardware for towels, Eat More Produce for some green juice,  and Rifle Paper Co. for fun}. I will report back tomorrow night when we arrive in Coconut Grove. Until then ...
